Forensic Mapping:
| Forensic Mapping is the specific use of Electronic Total Stations to map crime scenes. Electronic Total Stations can be used to exactly scale a crime scene such as an automobile collision, homicide scene, bomb blast or other large outdoor site. Forensic Mapping can be used to document and measure the collapse of a vehicle to determine speeds from crush. Quite often overlooked, Electronic Total Stations provide not only X,Y measurements but also Z (elevation) measurements to give exact elevations across the survey. |
