SOKKIA Electronic Total Station Training:

| Thomas Langley & Company provides
SOKKIA certified training in Forensic Mapping.
Teaching SOKKIA Electronic Total Station Forensic Mapping
to Police Officers and Accident Reconstructionists since
1997, TLC has been evaluated and certified by SOKKIA
Manufacturer Representative as qualified to teach
Forensic Mapping using SOKKIA Total Stations. Current
Models include the SOKKIA Set 6F (phased out), its
replacement the Set 600 and the Set 500. There are minor
differences between the Set 600 and the Set 500. These
differences, though small, are noteworthy. The Set 500
has dual screens, stronger scope and the connections are
made below the spinning head. This allows more
flexibility of use and simpler use. Thomas Langley & Company offers Forensic Mapping Training to Police Agencies and Reconstructionists. Training for the SOKKIA Electronic Total Station usually requires 1 week of intensive training, practical applications and testing. TLC also teaches the use and employment of AutoCad LT for finishing the diagrams. Currently in use under several different names is a software CAD package built by Carlson Software and licensed to Autodesk. These packages are Autodesk Field Survey and SOKKIA's own Mapvista. We use Autodesk Field Survey in conjunction with Autodesk Land Desktop 3, Autodesk Map 2002, Autodesk Civil and Autodesk 3D Viz 4. For simulation we use PC Crash and AR Software products.
In response to information I received from the author of Mapscenes, Darcy Detlor, I have been informed that Mapscenes does not share the driving engine of Autodesk Field Survey and Mapvista. It has similar features and has become very well liked and employed in the Law Enforcement and Mapping community. I don't use it but only because I have developed and employed different mapping strategies.
We will provide
specialized training to law enforcement agencies,
insurance companies and attorney groups. Contact us
